2011 Conference -- New Mexico
Theme to be determined

During the group discussion at the March 2010 Archaeoastronomy in the Field Workshop, it was unanimously decided to hold the next Conference with the presentation of papers and posters in 2011 in New Mexico. This will most likely be in May or June so as not to conflict with the International Society for Archaeoastronomy and Astronomy in Culture's January 2011 symposium in Lima, Peru.

The exact location and date for our conference is currently being developed. Details will be released as available. The call for papers and posters will likely go out in January 2011.

Student Paper Awards
Students are the future of archaeoastronomy and can contribute substantially to the success of the CAASW Biennial Conference by delivering papers based fieldwork or lab research. Student award will be offered in conjunction with future conferences. Papers can include site descriptions with a compilation of information, newly formulated ideas, conclusions, or overview.  Papers may be historical in nature and present an overview of previous research, but usually include comparative content. Through its Student Paper Award the CAASW recognizes this contribution and encourages outstanding research by students.
